Bonding With My Daughter

Today is my daughters last day of her winter vacation so we make it as a day for our bonding moment.  We decided to do walking and visit the famous Echo Bridge again since we went there when we just arrived 3 years ago. Coming home we agreed to each other to go different route so we'll know which way is near to walk.  So, while we’re having fun walking and discovering the new way going home, we saw a few Antique stores since we both fascinated with antique stuffs we decided to drop by just to look.  My eyes can’t believe all the beautiful antique stuffs that I saw on that Antiques store and mostly are for keeps. Then I saw these different styles of antique bathroom vanities I get crazy looking for one that will match and fit our bathroom.
This is the one I like.  The color, size and design is perfect for our bathroom  It's a little pricey though but I guess it's worth it :-)

Let’s Have Some Laughter! Men!!!

Hey guys! How have things been? I know I missed a lot of days not being here it's s_ _cks but what can I do? Life has been stressful lately so I need to chill-out a little by sharing some laughter with you.  I want to share this to all my bright, funny co-blogger ladies and to all my bright co-blogger gentlemen who have enough sense of humor to take it!
Q:  What does it mean whan a man is in your bed gasping for breath and calling your name?
A:  You did not hold the pillow down long enough.
Q:  Why do men whistle when they are sitting on the toilet?
A:  It helps them remember which end to wipe.......
Q:  How do you keep your husband from reading your e-mail?
A:  Rename the folder "Instruction Manuals"

See's Chocolate Fundraisers

I have no complain of the winter season this year. It's indeed a great one and I'm so thankful that we didn't get a bunch of snow unlike the past winter. Although the first day of spring will going to be on March 20 but you know what for me it feels like spring already because I've been receiving invitations, letters and e-mails from my daughter school about this different kinds of school fundraiser programs.

I never join any of my daughter school fundraising because I don't drive yet it's hard for me to go to her school and attend the meeting with other parents who does it. But this year probably I'm going to give it a shot because my daughter has been hounding me to do it 2 years ago :-). Her idea is to do Spring See's chocolate fundraisers program. I'm happy that she's thinking of doing this kind of program because of the benefits that she'll going to get from it. Like she's going to learn how to work with others toward a common goal and it helps instilling to her mind the importance of community and charity. I know also that these lessons are able to serve her well in her adult’s life.

Yes! I Thank God It's Friday and No Cooking Day For Me! :-)

Actually I thank God not only for Fridays but for Thursdays as well because I don’t have to cook this days o the week. Every Thursday my father-in-law takes us to a restaurant for dinner. He gives me this privilege of not cooking every Thursday night since last year :-).  Friday nights it’s my hubby treats!  He always gets pizza for dinner or depends of what I feel like eating and he’s been doing it since we came here.

Fridays is really my favorite day of the week because I can spend the day if I want to solely for myself.  It's like my day-off being a busy bee wife, full time mother, and taking care of Dad (my father-in-law) plus working part-time so I always have a handful of schedules every week. Anyway, I just want to let you know guys that I'm still alive and kicking my time is just so occupied re-organizing my daughter's room and still ongoing probably until tomorrow:-D.
guys if you have one! :-)

No More Cold Feet!

Don't get me wrong I like Winter months  because I loveee snow but  I hate it during that long cold months because I always have a cold feet, hands and sometimes my whole body especially at night. My hubby complains every time he cuddles me because he said “I have a cold ice body" Lol. I try a lot of things like wearing heated pad and I learn to wear socks all the time too that I didn't do before but these just didn't work for me.
Good thing when we went to my friend house the other day she mentioned to me about this Volt Heated Slippers that she bought for her daughter who has the same problem as me. According to her, so far her daughter likes it plus it does help her eliminate having cold feet all the time. She also enjoys wearing it inside and especially when she's playing outside on the snow. Hummm I'm getting convince now, I guess I'm gonna try this and I can't wait to have one soon.  :-)

Free Gaia Online Stuffs

Today while my daughter and me waiting for her school bus there's a group of boys that are talking and so crazy about this site called Gaia online. One said that he just sign-up as a member and he said that it's really awesome. They also were talking about how great the site especially if you want to communicate with other players who are really into anime, games, comics, sci-fi, fantasy and etc. Hearing all the great things that those kids are talked about gets me more curious to check it.  So, when I got back home I search it right away.  Okay I found out that this Gaia online is an anime-themed social networking and forums based website. While browsing and when I see how it works I said to myself now I can't blame them on not getting crazy about it because this site is really a perfect place for those who love to interact  to other people online and play games etc.
One thing I learn also that as Gaians member you’ll receive a customizable avatar as you sign-up.   And as a user you’ll also have the ability to customize your avatar in so many ways including clothing and accessories.  Isn’t it so awesome? But you need to buy it using the site currencies Gaia gold or Gaia cash.  I know you’ll gonna say that’s not so awesome to hear but wait, did you know that you can get it for free by clicking gaiaonline gold? Wanna try it Gaians savvy and you guys?! Okay then let’s all check it out :-)

After The Wait...Yes It's Worth It :-)

Yesterday, the "Ground Hog-Punxsutawnney Phil" spied his shadow and according to popular folklore that means there will be six weeks of winter weather. :-( If he is correct, it could signal a change in the mild weather pattern that we have experienced thus far this winter season. So, to my co-blogger and friends whose the same weather as mine, don't put your winter wardrobe away yet.
And yesterday too when my daughter and I got our late Christmas gift, we both have a 32 GB IPhone 4s mine came from my hubby and my daughter's came from my sister and her hubby. Thank you so much guys! I'm telling you I can't explain how much happier my Princess was when she got it. She acted so funny and makes a lot of funny faces while the agent from the phone company setting it up. :-D It's funny though because my daughter is the one teaching me on how to operate the phone instead of me teaching  her lol.  She's so used to it because she has an IPod touch long  before she got her IPhone 4s and the operation is almost the same except that you can't call and no Siri of course.  This phone is really amazing and you can't help yourself not to love Siri but hey I can't say that this is the best gift that my hubby given me because he always give me all the best and perfect gift ever ;-)
.......And on Sunday is Superbowl  XLV day whoooahhhh! Go Pats go!

Raising Our Kids In The City

Guest post by Gerard Mcdaniel

My husband and I made the decision to raise our children in Manhattan, and we have definitely been met with our share of raised eyebrows. People who don’t live in Manhattan can’t comprehend why we would want to raise our children in the “hustle and bustle” or why we would pay such exorbidant rates to stay in town when we could easily move out to one of the boroughs. We mostly ignore those people. The decision to stay in the city was the right one for our family, and we’re happy with our choice. We definitely have to budget our money wisely, as neither my husband nor I are trust fund babies, by any means. We are careful where we spend our money, and we try to get the best deal possible on every purchase. Luckily, being that we’re lifelong New Yorkers, we were familiar with the fact that we have the choice to select our energy providers to save money. It’s a quick change to make and has ended up saving us a ton of money. Check out New York Energy Rates to see if you can make a switch too!
