Leap of Faith

I took a huge leap of faith this year and decided to start my own company. It was simultaneously the most exhilarating thing I’ve ever done and the most terrifying. I couldn’t be happier, but it is a little stressful knowing that I’m solely responsible for the success or total failure of my company. To keep my overhead low, I’m currently running the company out of my apartment. My tiny one bedroom is getting smaller and smaller by the second, and I’m looking forward to the day I have enough capital to invest in some commercial property. To do that sooner rather than later, I’ve started saving money everywhere I can. I have bought all recycled office supplies and I am writing off as much as I can on my taxes. I know it will be a long road but I’m looking forward to the challenge. One positive thing that has come out of this money saving craze is the discovery that I can get my natural gas for cheaper by calling shopelectricityratestexas.com. It took me about ten minutes to complete the entire process with them, and they saved me a lot of money. I’m stocking it all away and can’t wait until I have enough to move out of this cramped office!

 Life without cable, internet connections is sucks but good in some way! Yeah you heard it right guys we lost our connections for days because of a wrong action of the line man.  Supposed to be he’s going to disconnect the rear house cable connection but instead he disconnected ours :-).  I’m telling you guys it’s indeed a lifeless days to all of us without cable and internet especially at night after dinner. Where everyone disappears and you’ll gonna find them watching TV or playing in the computer and me alone in the kitchen trying to finish all the dishes then in the morning you can’t find them until it’s time for breakfast :-)
Hummm I found it so funny this morning because losing the cable and internet makes everyone stays with me in the kitchen longer and they all down and seated in the dining table for breakfast early LOL! But tonight for sure we’re going back to normal because we got back our connections earlier. :-D

December 2011 Full of Suprises and Sad Moments!

Whew! Finally I've done writing the 50 Christmas cards and sent it yesterday. Those cards are only for our USA friends and family. I didn't get to do the ones going to other countries yet.  Anyway, yesterday at the post office there's one lady who keeps on staring on me and my daughter while we’re putting the stamps on each card. Then suddenly she came near us and she ask me if I didn't get tired writing on all those cards.  Well, I said I did get tired and feel a little stress but this is already a tradition that my hubby and I started since I came here for almost 4 years now.  She smile and shake her head and said if I were you I won't do it because for sure you spent a lot of money plus your effort but after those people receive the cards they just gonna throw it away :-) Well, she's right but for me the thought of letting those people know that you remember them and make them happy is big accomplishments to us. 

Anyway, why I said that this December 2011 is full of surprises and sad moments it’s because it all started when Daddy set up a dinner meeting to all his kids to talk about his WILL. Sad to say that the dinner meeting didn’t came out good. I feel so sad for my father-in-law and I really feel bad for my hubby because of how he treated by his siblings. Sorry, I can't elaborate things here much because it's to personal but all I can say that now I believe on the saying that "money is really the root of all evil" :-). Money changes a person attitude in just split seconds. Honestly my hubby didn't sleep for 2 nights because he was so hurt but I'm hoping and praying that all the family issues will resolve and get better in time.

So much for that...Well, last night our princess really surprised us of her 1st Term Report Card. She really makes us so proud this time. Why? Because she got all A's and only 3 B+'s! As a new student here it's not bad at all and to think that she's battling with her math since she started schooling here because it's really way different from what she use to in my country but now she got B+ on it. Thank you our Lil Monster/Princess for making us always proud parents but don't forget Daddy and Mommy wants to see straight A's on the next term. We have faith on you and we know that you can do it! :-D

And today I received this package from one of my sister in California for our princess party favors this coming 17th of Saturday.  So, I’m kind of busier in preparing all the stuffs. 

This year it’s a movie party for her! My Hunnie rented one cinema in West Newton Theater for 20 kids. It’s nice because right after the movie we can serve the food and continue the party. I’m sure it does gonna be another birthday blast party for her! 

It's Time To Get Our New Prescription Eyeglasses Soon

Last night  while were watching TV my hubby complained that he can't see much because of too much scratches of his eyeglasses. I told him that our daughter have the same problem although she doesn't have scratches on her eyeglasses but she think that the grade of her eyeglasses for reading is not working right anymore. I just didn’t say a word but I have the same problem but I know I can still live with it but not my hubby and my princess. They both needed it more than me especially my hubby because of his work and his vision is as bad as the years goes by.

So, right away I check our records for our next eye doctor appointment and whala! I found out that each one of us needs to go our eyes check and for sure we all gonna need a new one this January. Since I knew how much we spent when we got our prescription eyeglasses at the same time 2 years ago, and based from our receipt it cost us $1,350.00. So, probably it will cost us more than that this time. I’m afraid that we don’t have that kind of money this coming January so although I know my hubby that he will never want to buy a stuffs online because of his experienced with his credit card being hacked but I suggested that if ever each one of us will gonna need a new prescription eyeglasses it’s okay with me to get even a cheap eyeglasses online; because I believe not all cheap things are bad.   Sometimes if you’re lucky you can find cheap ones better than expensive ones.  I explained to him that we just need to find an online store that’s legit and a trusted one.  He said he’s going to think about it. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for that :-)

Prescription Drugs

People around the world are spending more on medicines than ever before…and enjoying it less.  According to the study each family yearly drug bills is out of control and the cost of over the counter drugs is also soaring.  So, the tendency many people are forced to skip pills to make ends meet.  It’s indeed a difficult situation especially if you have no prescription insurance or taking medicines that are not covered by your insurance plan. I can relate to this because one of my maintenance pills the price in the pharmacy is getting sky rocket.

So, lately I’m checking to other regular and online pharmacy where I can get a deal.  I guess I’m getting lucky to browse Canada drugs . I found out that they’re providing the highest quality brand name and generic medications at the most affordable prices. While browsing to all the pills that they carry I found out that you can even  buy lipitor and of course happy to know including my medicines.  Now I’ll just have to find out from my physician when my next refill is. 

Let’s Have Some Laughter! Calling In Sick

It's been ages since my last post of my let's have some laughter because of my hectic schedules. Well,  I’m kinda back again and I want to share some laughing with you guys which I badly needed too because for some reasons my hubby and I couldn't sleep and feeling so exhausted for 2 nights now since the family dinner that we hosted here in our house last weekend.  So, here's one for all of us...cheers!

“Okay one day, Hung Chow calls into work and says hey! I no come work today. I really sick, got headache, stomach ache and legs hurt, I no come work.  The boss says, you know something Hung Chow, I really need you today. But you know what when I feel sick like you do, I go to my wife and tell her to give me S** that makes everything better and I go to work…You try that. Two hours later Hung Chow calls to his boss again. I do what you say and I feel great. I be at work soon….You got nice house!
