A Very Hectic Last Weekend Of October!

Before I say goodbye totally to the month of October and welcome November. I want to reminisce back since Friday how crazy our schedules during the last weekend of October was.   Of course all of these plus problems of our internet server are the reasons why I wasn’t around last weekend.
28  Friday - After dinner my hubby and I went to the grocery store to buy candies for Halloween. Then we went to the mall to shop me a wardrobe for my Dad's 80th birthday celebration the next day. I have clothes but mostly dresses. My hunnie doesn't want me to wear it because it's was raining and snowing at the same time. I never bother to buy me a winter formal outfit so last minute we're looking for one. Because I'm so petite and tiny we had a hard time looking the right store where I can find clothes that's gonna fit me. Although we find some but most of them I didn't like the cut, and styles and most of all I’m not comfortable of the fitting and it's very rare the size xs small petite and zero pants :-(.  I admit I'm kinda so picky when it comes to clothes, shoes, purses etc.  So, we went home with nothing on hand. :-/
29 Saturday - We went back to the mall with our lil monster I ask her to help us. After 4 hours roaming around the mall finally we complete my wardrobe.  I'm so thankful that my hunnie and my lil monster were so patient going with me from one store to another. They both are a great shopping helper.  I pick my pants, my hunnie pick my top, shoes and jacket with my lil monster approval. We had lunch before we went home and came home an hour before our schedule to Dad's dinner.  We just had 30 minutes preparation when the Limousine arrived which gonna take us all to the Al Dente Italian Restaurant in North End Boston.
this is only an 8-seater Limousine
Our surprise for Dad is strictly an adult’s only family dinner. The two kids get a little sulky when they knew about the plan. The reason behind it is that they both hard to feed, my daughter is a picky eater and my niece is a celiac. So, my sister-in-law Elise (hubby's younger sister) decided not to bring them.  We all feel bad for them so my sister-in-law Donna S. (hubby's oldest sister) come up with a very clever surprise! That when the Limo arrives the driver will gonna bring them to the pizza place to pick-up the pre-ordered pizza for their dinner.  Isn't it so funny!? So, when the Limo arrives and we told them about the surprised oh la la! The two had a good time that probably they won't forget for the rest of their lives. They were screaming and so excited especially my lil one because she always dreams to ride a Limo since she was 5 years old. She said in a moment she feels she's a celebrity lol.
While waiting for my brother-in-law and sister-in law (Little Mike/Donna D. my hubby's only brother). We finished two bottles of my favorite and the only wine I can drink because it tastes just like a juice drink, the Martini & Rossi: Asti sparkling wine. Unfortunately we left without the two. It's sad but for some reason they didn't make it :-/
cheers for Dad's 80th Birthday

I took this photo when my hunnie and I sitting at the other end of the Limo
 at Al Dente Italian Restaurant
After dinner we go straight to Mike's All Italian Pastry for dessert and coffee. We happened to see Mitt Romney and his family  (his  one of Republican running for 2012 Presidency). Sorry no photo because I don't care much about the politics :-). We went home with a big chunks of snow falling and very slippery road...more photos of Dad's birthday at my FB page. Thanks :-)

30 Sunday - We go to a grocery store to pick up flowers for Mommy Betty because it was her birthday last October 27. From the cemetery we go straight to my sister-in-law Donna S. house to drop-off something and my hunnie plowed their walkway.  After lunch we go to the store again to get a birthday card and a scratch ticket for Daddy D. then go to his place in Randolph a 45 minutes ride from our place. We had to go back home before 4pm for our lil monster sunday school and to cook food for dinner.

my poor hunnie was crying so hard here...sometimes when we come here to visit mommy he's fine and sometimes he has a moment like this...I told him I can imagine now how he is if I go first. :-(
31 Monday  Halloween! - I had doctor’s appointment yesterday morning. I'm glad that now everything went out great except for my cholesterol it's still a little high. From my doctor’s office I go straight home to do some little cleaning and cook early for the Halloween night. It was the very first time I went trick or treat with my lil monster.   We had so much fun! Her dad really wants to come with us but nobody will gonna give candies to the trick or treater kids. So, I'm the only one went with my daughter and our kid neighbor. I didn't wear a costume my daughter does and this year she decided to be a nerd.. :-)
I bet I made you tired reading it :-D Okay now Welcome November and Thanksgiving!!!

  2. You had such a wonderful time celebrating your father's birthday. Riding in a limo really makes you feel very special and rich. Great that you were able to buy your necessary clothes for your father's birthday. Your daughter seemed to enjoy the usual trick or treat celebration of Halloween. Thanks for the post. God bless you always.

  3. @Mel: Yes Mel we're all indeed had a great time that night especially my father-in-law. It's tough to find clothes for tiny people here so when I go down there to have a vacation; I’m gonna ask my sister to sew me a bunch of pants lol. You’re right Mel my daughter always enjoyed Halloween because it's one of her favorite holiday aside from Christmas. :-D

@Rovie: Masaya nga Rov sobra! completo sa loob meron maliit na tv, wine glasses, a tiny table and the lights are like you're in a disco house. Thanks so much for adding this link. xoxoxo
