Yesterday night (19th Monday) at around 6:30 PM my eyes couldn't believe what I see when I answered the door. Why? Because the minute I open it the camera already focused on my face. They're from one of the local channels here in Massachusetts and eager to interview my father-in-law. It’s all about the Realtor who accused him as a racist because he refused to accept the Black people renter due to his bad experiences like causing him so much money to fix, causing him so much trouble to other neighbor and ruined the place from the past. I can’t tell too many details here because it’s still on court process. Well, all night last night two different news groups came in our house plus from other different radio stations calling like 5:30AM today. One of the radio announcers that I’ve talk this afternoon told me that she’s so upset and she’s on my Dad’s favor. And most of the people who responses to her live radio program, they feel so bad for my Dad because he’s being sued just because he pick the people who he wants to live in his property. Oh by the way he has to pay the lady FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS for that.
Well, living here for almost 4 years now I observed all the ways that are happenings here; America is becoming not a free country anymore. You have to be very careful of all the words that you utter to somebody or else you’ll just know you’re getting a court order saying you’re sued :-). I’m not sure how long they gonna follow this story and how many times we’re on the news all day but I hope everything will come out fine. I have to beddy bye bye now. I’m so tired from my daughters back to school night earlier. See yeah and miss you all!
That's lamentable that that person denied by your father in law to rent his house sued him. I think the owner of a house has the right to choose whom he wants to rent and occupy his house. That can only happen in the US since a similar event will never cause a ripple in the Phils. I hope the problem of your FIL can be settled without any payment of monetary settlement.
