What Your Body Is Telling You

Minor symptoms like a stuffy nose or brittle finger-nails might not seem like propellers worth mentioning to your doctor-but they could be. Usually, what seem like simple concerns really are, but if they’re persistent, such small signals maybe sending more serious messages about the state of your health.
BURPING
Frequent belching could be a sign of gastroesophageal reflux  disease, or GERD. In this common condition, acid in the stomach leaks back into the esophagus, often causing a burning sensations can often improve  it-and prevent more serious conditions. According to study “If your burping or belching on a daily basis, or if you usually require medication to neutralize the problem, you should be checked out further”.
 NAIL CHANGES
Brittle nails can be a classic symptoms of an underactive thyroid, which frequently goes undiagnosed because its symptoms including weight gain, fatigue, dry skin, and constipation are so innocuous that they’re likely to be written off as normal signs of aging. Vitamins deficiency is another possible cause of brittle nails-the nutrient that’s lacking is often vitamin D. Nails that are pitted or dimpled can be an early sign of psoriasis. Blue-tinged nails are sometimes caused by Reynaud’s disease, a disorder of the circulatory system in which your nerves become hypersensitive to temperature changes. Pale-colored nail beds can signal anemia.
NASAL CONGESTION
Persistent stuffiness and pressure in your sinuses could be a sign of a festering low-grade infection. Many people with a chronic stuffy nose assume they just have year-round allergies and don’t seek treatment, but that can be dangerous.  An untreated infection could lead to more serious problems.  “Anyone who has a runny nose that persists should definitely see a doctor”
HAIR LOSS

Unexplained hair loss can occur with a thyroid that is either under-or overactive. Other symptoms that occur with an over-active thyroid include anxiety, weight loss, extreme hunger, and heart palpitations. Hair loss may also be a sign of a nutritional deficiency.
JOINT PAIN
People often shrug off aching knees as a consequence of too much exercise, but painful joints that are also red and warm to the touch are a classic sign of rheumatoid arthritis.  “ One of the hallmarks of rheumatoid-arthritis is that it almost always affects multiple joints, and it’s almost always symmetrical, meaning the same joint on the other side of the body has the problem. If you really did overdo it on exercise, rest for a day or two, and the pain should go away. If the pain persists for more than a week, bring it to the attention of your doctor. Early diagnosis is key. There are now medicines for rheumatoid arthritis that can slow the deterioration of the joint. Take care of  yourself everyone. God bless Us all!  :-)

The National Finals Rodeo

I’ve never been to any  National Finals Rodeo but I heard from other people who went they said it’s so much fun being there watching them live. It’s a good challenge and it’s nice to see all the animals. Also the food is good and  you can meet interesting people.
I think people  doing rodeo are best at what they do beating the animals at their own game. Bull riding is so scary and  very dangerous but they can manage to do it.  If I have a chance I would want to go and  see the cowboys playing  live than  seeing them on TV. If you’re  interested on watching  and  if  you  want more information's  about the   Tickets to the National Finals Rodeo. Please check it out here at Team One Tickets.

Tip Talk Monday On Home: Sweet Dreams

You spend a third of your life in your bed, so shouldn’t it get a little  special attention?  Turn your bed into the stress-free sanctuary of your dreams by starting with the right building blocks. Your key investments? A set of soft sheet, a fluffy comforter with a duvet cover and high-quality pillows. For a dash of personality, mix and match these elements yourself. To narrow the choices, follow two designs rules: After you choose palette (cool or warm), stick to just two to three shades and don’t go crazy with prints. Choose throw pillows in various shapes. Layer them in size, starting with euro squares and one of two standard pillows in front, for a tidy yet lush look.  And don’t forget what’s under the covers. A plush mattress pad, the right density pillow-these also make the difference between a good and great nights sleep. Before you run out and raid the bedding department, ask yourself: Do you like warm flannel or cool cotton? Fluffy down or hypoallergenic synthetic?

Then follow this bedding tips: GET THE LOOK
A.) When you make your bed always lay the top sheet facedown on the fitted sheet so the pretty pattern or trim faces up when you fold the top of the sheet over.
B.) For hospital corners, lay the flat sheet over fitted sheet, with extra length at the end. Tuck the bottom of the sheet snugly under the mattress. Take the side length, make a crisp bottom corner and tuck in tightly.
C.) A tailored bed skirt stylishly camouflages the boxspring and bed frame wheels. It also hides any stuff you stroke under your bed.

BEDDED BLISS: Don’t believe the thread-count hype: Higher numbers do not guarantee more luxe sheets, though they often do explain steeper price tags.  Threat count indicates the number of yarns woven into process. The only way to tell how soft a sheet will feel against your skin is to touch it. Here’s a primer on popular sheet fabric.
Cotton - Durable cotton breathes and is easy to care for.
Sateen - A step up from regular cotton, sateen is woven from superfine cotton threads, which give it a gentle sheen.
Organic cotton - Made without harsh or dyes or bleaches, this is an ideal choice if you have allergies.
Bamboo blend - Smooth fibers of the bamboo plant are spun into sheets with a silky finish. All bamboo sheet are pricey, but a mix-like this bamboo and jersey knit-has the same feel with a lower price tag.
Jersey Knit - Just like your favorite T-shirt, jersey knit sheets have a supple feel with just a hint of stretch. Pay a bit more attention to the quality you choose, since this fabric can lose its shape over time.
Flannel - The coziest of fabrics, flannel is loosely spun cotton or wool yarn that has been brushed for added softness.

A Weekend Sharing

In my life the month of February seems to be best for me. Why? Because when I met my hubby it was February of 2007. Now, I am satisfied and happy with my life because of him. His the one who taught me how to love myself and live life to the fullest.

Our 1st photo together last August of 2007 (I'm chubby and short haired lol)

February of 2008 was also the time I learned how to do knitting.  I am doing it for a year now.  It is now one of my many hobbies. Knitting make’s me relax when I feel anxious and stress. My sister in  law Elise was the one who got me into it.  She has a lot of patience in teaching me how to do it.  She provide me with everything including  all the materials I need.  I am so thankful for my new family now. They’re all so supportive to us. I felt so welcome and loved with my new family.

My finished products (This 1st one was just a practice for me. I finished it about a week on and off)

Unfinished ones (I can't do much since I started blogging :D)

Finally, I got my debit card from Paypal. After 3 months of giving me a hard  time. But I understand why they so strict. It’s because of their commitment to their clients and for their clients protection. I am glad because now I can purchase online again without worrying to much of unnecessary charges like what my hubby experienced using his card online.

Another thing that I was so happy about, when my hubby surprised me with a gift for our 1st  year anniversary.  He gave me a pair of earrings.   He said it’s a belated gift. because he didn’t have a chance to get it. It’s hard for him to get one and make it as a surprise because every time he went out I’m always with him.  So,  he said if he will go alone somewhere he’s worried that I will think something bad. So, what he did is that we just went to the jewelry shop  to get something repaired and he surprised me by ordering a set of earrings.
My birthstone and a diamond on it

February 6, I was hired as a part time in Stone Institute. Once I completed my medical documents, I will start my training ASAP.
In here I will start my 1st job in USA

Love you all!

Don’t Mix Juice and Medicine

First, scientists found grapefruit juice boosted the absorption of nearly 50 medicines, raising the risk of side effects. Now a new study (with the antihistamine fexofenadine) says grapefruit, oranges, and apples juices have a reverse effect, cutting absorption by half.  Other studies found this true for beta-blockers, antibiotics and anticancer agents.
CONCLUSION? Always take medicine with water.

Tip Talk Monday: Clutter Controlled 4 - How To Make YoUr Work Area Free From Jammed Papers ETC…

How's was your weekend and Valentine's Celebration everyone? Mine was good, though we just stayed home watching the 2010 Winter Olympic.Anyway, here's the continuation of my series  the clutter controlled tips.
Here's the solution for a clutter free work area

ATTACK YOUR FILES - Buy a shallow basket or in-box for all your loose papers, mail and notes. To keep it from getting full, take 10 minutes a day to toss, file or record each piece.

GIVE EVERYTHING A HOME - Supplies such as pens, paper clips, notepads and tape dispensers all eat up precious room, so store these accessories in a handy drawer or a desk caddy.

KEEP A NOTEBOOK - You can reduce most paper clutter by using an office notebook- the perfect place for writing daily or weekly to-do-list, jotting down phone numbers and e-mail addresses and generally staying on top of life’s details. Even better: Keep it all in your computer! Don’t forget to have a back-up of all your files.

Good luck! :-)

Product liability

What is product liability? It is the area of law in which manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, retailers, and others who make products available to the public are held responsible for the injuries those products cause. Here in United States, the claims most commonly associated with product liability are negligence, strict liability, breach of warranty, , and various consumer protection claims. The majority of product liability laws are determined at the state level and vary widely from state to state.
I just got lucky because I don’t have an experience purchasing defective products. So, I will just set an example of what happened to Toyota Company. Though this is nothing new to every car manufacturer to have a recalls.  In my opinion Toyota will fix and correct all the cars that have a problem.  As a result their business will go on as usual and they will still make a good product.  If you or member of your family have suffered injury as a result of a defective product, or have reason to believe a product is unsafe.  Then  if you feel you have grounds for a case, contact a Product Liability Lawyer.   They’re the one who can determine who is liable for these damages and help you recover the compensation you deserve.

Why Are Friends Better Than Chocolate?

Because Friends aren’t fattening. Friends can hug and be hugged without melting! :D You don’t feel guilty for having too many friends.  Friends don’t cause cavities no matter how sweet they are.  You can stay in on a Friday night with a friend and not feel pathetic! Laughing with a friend is more fun than a sugar buzz.  True friends last forever.  How about you? Well, you are very  welcome to share your thoughts.

Dark Chocolate For A Cause

Weeks has gone by since the devastating earthquake in Haiti.  Now donations are still being accepted for the Hope for Haiti.  If you’re considering doing your part, that’s great. But, experts say, whatever you do, don’t donate anything but money. Because delivering aid in Haiti continues to be difficult right now, the best way to help immediately is through monetary donations.  As Valentine's Day approaches, you can help Haiti by shopping  your gift online and  considering  Intentional Chocolate. Because Intentional Chocolate  will donate 100% of its profits to charities supporting Haiti until Valentine's Day. So, when you buy gifts for your love ones think  Dark Chocolate and think Haiti too.

We absolutely can help, and we need to help. There is no excuse not to right? I do wish them a speedy recovery from this disaster. These people need your prayers and contribution. :)

Tip Talk Monday: Clutter Controlled 3 - How To Create More Space In Your Messy Garage

Hello! Everyone, how’s your weekend? Mine was great, my hubby, my daughter and I watched the Super Bowl last night. We had so much fun though our team was not there. But hubby’s wants the Saints to win, so he got it. It was so exciting until the last minute of the game. It was a nice game indeed. Congratulation Saints Team. Okay now lets go back to my tip talk Monday

HERE’S THE SOLUTION FOR YOUR MESSY GARAGE:

PITCH IT - Make three piles: keep, toss and give away. If you haven’t used something in the last 18 months, throw it out or donate it.
PUT STUFF UP IN THE AIR - Optimize available room by installing a few shelves and hooks on the walls or from the ceiling. Hang a row of hooks along the side of the garage for bikes, rakes, and shovels. Use over-head space for sleds, beach chairs, and other seasonal gear.
CREATE A KID’S CORNER - Designate an area to store your kid’s sports equipment and outdoor toys. Keeping these in bins will get them off the floor and allow your child to find a favorite blue soccer ball without your help.

Debt! how does it make you feel?

Hello everyone! Last Saturday, I received all our medical and credit card bills. It annoys me because I know we can’t really do anything as such before we clear them. My hubby and I want to go back to my country for a visit but this time we make sure we have enough or a reasonable amount saved to not use credit cards, but I can’t even think of these things before our medical and credit card  debts are cleared.  Though my hubby and I are not in as much as debt as some people  but we still need to get rid of it.

It is frustrating I see the money that comes in and know that we wouldn't be paying so much out a month if it wasn't for  our stupid  medical bills and credit cards way high rocket charges. However, what's done is done. I can't stress about that which I have no ability to change, so all I can do is look at what we CAN change, avoid being sick and going to the doctors and maybe  we’re going to  try  to arrange an IVA  to pay everything off!

Life is for living and I’ve been there and done that on the whole living like a pauper worrying about money and debts, it just isn’t worth it, I was not only making myself unhappy but also my family. Enjoy watching super bowl everyone!

Weekend Quick Tip!

Friday once again, another weekend to spend with your family and friends and it’s time for my Friday quick tip.  Looking for a quick dinner this weekend? As a busy mom, I know quick dinners are a must. Convenient meal makers such as pasta and sauce, macaroni and cheese, rice and canned tuna (my daughters favorite) are a big help.

For fun ways to help kids get enough calcium, serve milk with flavored syrup instead of soda; serve yogurt in a fun dish with sprinkles; or make mini bagel pizzas with cheese for breakfast.

Have fun with your family and friends everyone!

Sight Savers

Why should we wear sunglasses? Because sunglasses are defined as a type of eyewear which protects the eyes from harmful lights. Your eyes can get damaged by the sun just like your skin. However, you can’t protect your eyes with sunscreen like you do your skin. Your only defense is to wear protective UV blocking sunglasses. Wearing sunglasses is extremely important for everyone, especially children.  Most of the time in summer, kids spend outdoors and therefore that are more susceptible to harmful UV rays. Millions of parents are putting their children's vision at risk, the experts say, and their risk is higher because the lens in their eye does not block as much UV rays as they do in adults' eyes, putting them at increased risk for sun damage to the eyes, since damage builds up over a lifetime.

Sunglasses have nowadays become an essential accessory for many, not only for their functional use but also for their stylish image value. You can get a great deal of  wholesale sunglasses online.  It’s best to buy  wholesale sunglasses especially if your buying for the whole family. Start now, by keeping sunglasses handy and getting your entire family in the habit of wearing them. Remember use sunglasses rated to block at least 99 percent of UVA and UVB rays both types penetrate some plastic lenses.

How Safe Is It To Eat Tuna?

FYI: Tuna contains high levels of mercury, but you don't have to give it up entirely. According to FDA, it's okay for most adults to have one 6-ounces serving a week of tuna steak or albacore-or 12 ounces of canned light tuna, which has less mercury.

Byetta Side Effects

I’ve read a lot about Byetta medicine on a weekly magazine for diabetic people. I  found out that people were dying from it so I thought better check it out.  I know you will  going to ask what is Byetta (exenatide)? It  is an injectable  diabetes medicine that helps control blood sugar levels.  It  is also used to treat type 2 (non-insulin dependent) diabetes. In people with type 2 diabetes, high blood glucose (blood sugar) is a big concern. After a meal, blood glucose levels rise, often too high. Byetta slows down the rate at which glucose enters the bloodstream. Byetta signals the pancreas to make the right amount of insulin at the right time to help blood glucose remain closer to normal.

After blood glucose levels off, Byetta stops signaling the pancreas to produce insulin. This effect helps the body avoid low blood glucose, too (called hypoglycemia). As a result, Byetta may help reduce your high blood glucose levels throughout the day. And that can mean better control, which can be one of the keys to helping manage your diabetes. Some people who tried  this  thought it’s a wonder drug especially those who wants to lose weight.   Because people taking Byetta may feel less hungry and eat less. And in clinical trials, on average people lost 5 pounds in 30 weeks, though Byetta is not a weight loss product.

But like any medication, there are side effects that some people may experience. In general,   Byetta Side Effects can include diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting, which may contribute to changes in kidney function. It is thought that the main reason nausea occurs is the effects of Byetta on the stomach. If someone starts vomiting, they can lower the volume of fluid in their body. If it gets to dangerously low levels, their kidneys could be damaged and kidney failure could take place. In 2007,  it was linked to a higher risk of Byetta Pancreatitis, a potentially life-threatening inflammation of the pancreas. The symptom is severe abdominal pain that is sometimes accompanied by nausea and vomiting. Stop using Byetta and call your doctor at once if you have severe pain in your upper stomach spreading to your back, with nausea, vomiting, and a fast heart rate. These could be symptoms of pancreatitis.  If you or one of your family member who experienced it due to taking a Byetta medications discuss it immediately with your health care professional or you may also contact Byetta Lawsuit to consult and to know more about your  legal rights and options.

Worried About The Safety Of My Daughter

I just came home  from my daughter school. I talked to the Principal to straighten out the problem that my daughter experienced at the school bus coming home yesterday. She came home crying. She was so upset, I can’t even ask her what had happened to her because she can’t even barely talk. She was just crying and crying too hard. When she calm down, I asked her to tell me what had happened. She said one of the student rider at the bus where she’s  riding, bullied her. According to my daughter, at first the girl and her brother saying bad words to my daughter  like ( jackass, asshole etc… I was shocked! Oh gosh)  then she started stepping on her feet and pulling the hood of her jacket until she got choke. She never mention it to me until she got hurt yesterday.  She told me that the girl was bothering 4 times already. I really feel bad, for the reason that I never taught her how to fight back.  Last night, her Dad was so upset. He said to my daughter, "from now on if somebody hurt you, you needs to fight back". But my daughter told me last night that she can’t do it. She said that she doesn’t want to hurt somebody. Because hurting somebody is a mean thing to do.  Oh well, She got that attitude from me....my fault.

Anyway, the Principal promised me that they will going to take action on this first thing in the morning tomorrow. She said that she will going to call me tomorrow for the updates. Well, I am hoping that this will going to stop real soon. I am worried because bullying is a big thing here in the US right now.  The other night while I am watching the news. A girl whose a high school student killed herself. Because she can’t take anymore of the bullying that she experienced in her school.  For me, kids who experienced bullying can make them not want to play outside or go to school. Of course it's hard to keep your mind on schoolwork when you're worried about how you're going to deal with the bully. Bullying bothers everyone — and not just the kids who are getting picked on. Bullying can make school a place of fear and can lead to more violence and more stress for everyone. I will  never let that to happen to my daughter. She does really loves school. I don’t want her to feel not going because of bullying.

As Valentine Day approaches Swiftly

Well, what comes to mind when you think about Valentine? Of course romance, love, chocolates, flowers and jewelry. Whether it’s a new watch, pair of earrings, a charm bracelet, or better yet an engagement ring, there is never a shortage of jewelry to buy on Valentine’s Day.

If you are searching for a lasting and unique Valentine's Day gift, I recently found something that might interest you -a citizen diamond watch  Yet, citizen diamond watch  will last a lifetime as a daily reminder of your everlasting love. All in all, this may be a great choice for an unusual and special gift. Keep in mind that you can also get creative with the wrapping and giving of your gift, many pieces comes in matching sets. But make sure first that you know how your special someone feels about the holiday before you go all out or blow it off. Sometimes a gift that you've created just for them can be just the thing (i.e., a picture you painted of something they loves, a box of thier favorite homemade cookies, etc.)>

Tip Talk Monday: Clutter Controlled 2 - How To Arrange A Messy Bathroom, Countertops and Drawers.

How was your weekend everyone? Mine, this weekend was pretty good as far as getting stuff done goes. We went to my sister in law’s  (Donna S.) house for a dinner.  Our daughter didn’t went with us, she attended the birthday party of our neighbor’s daughter. We had fun, everybody’s talking about the very important event and it’s the first time  that will going to happen in our family soon. Good weekend indeed! Surely, I will tell you all the details later. For now, I want to share with you  my “Tip Talk Monday” of course.

How to arrange a messy bathroom, counter tops,  and drawers? Here’s a  helpful tips:

CREATE TOP-TEN DRAWERS - Assign and label personal cubby, shelf or drawer to each person. Then set guidelines, such as: Everyone keeps a maximum pf 10 things in that designated space and everything else has to go on a nightstand or dresser or in a handbag. It’s not as tough as it sounds. After you cover the basics e.g. toothbrush, face wash, moisturizer, hairbrush, deodorant. You’ll still have room for a few more items.

BE CLEAR ABOUT BATHROOMS STORAGE - The key to knowing what you have in your bathroom is being able to see it, so use a few transparent containers as carryalls. Caddies or baskets with handles are particularly helpful for shower and tub items such as shampoo, soap, and conditioner.

DE-CLUTTER COUNTER-TOPS - The more stuff you keep on the counter around your sink, the sloppier your bathroom will look. So go for the bare minimum: hand soap and a box of tissues. Everything else should be tucked away in a medicine cabinets of personal drawers.

“The first step to a clutter-free existence? Revamp shared family spaces by paring down and tidying up”

  • Finally.... - I get a chance to grab the 2nd award of my baby blog today. Thank you so much Spiky of Oh Bite!: A Journey To Plates for giving me this award and for app...
