Don’t Skip A Good Breakfast This Weekend!

Having a good breakfast can help you: get going, manage your weight. Stay on task at work and concentrate. Some people believe that one of  the easiest techniques for a busy lifestyle is to incorporate meal replacement  diet shakes than having a real complete breakfast meal. But in my opinion keeping track of what you eat and how much you exercise throughout your days. It’s a simple way to focus on your progress, set goals, and be inspired! Get going with 30 minutes of moderate activity per day…and have fun doing it! Take a walk, do some yard work, and  take the stairs. It all counts!
  Everyone!

Lets Make The Environment Clean and Safe: STAND UP AND BE COUNTED!

Our health is directly linked to the health of our earth!  The time is NOW to educate ourselves and our children about taking care of our environment. Many do not care of the environment but we should.  Living in a world full of waste isn't the way we should live. The world isn't  our ashtray. We  people should do our part in keeping our environment and you can start it in your own home.

Personally, I think I'm doing my part. I don't own a car, nor do I drive any. I don't smoke, so no harm to anyone's "interior environment". We throw a single trash bag out per week, the rest goes to composting and recycling.  Each of us can make a difference.  We should practice to reuse and recycle everyday products in order to keep our environment clean. If we're not going to act now eventually, everything bad we put into the environment will come back to us.

Before I write my post I’ve read about the  Green police. They are an environmental task force comprised of collaborative law enforcement groups assembled to crack down on emissions in large US metropolitan cities.  Their goal is to educate consumers about the environmental impact of their everyday actions. If  your  are an environmental lover and want  to be one of them. Click here for the Green Police application. Learn what you can do. Everyone please do remember  to reuse, reduce and  recycle. :)

Brain Injury

Every year, around 44000 Massachusetts residents suffer from  brain injuries caused by accidents. People with brain injuries regardless of their size or location interferes with the ability to control emotions, to benefit from experience, to learn new information, and to be sensitive to the emotional needs of others. It also gets in the way the ability to store, process, accumulate, and retrieve information. Brain injuries are different, so is recovery. Most people with mild injuries recover fully, but it can take time. Some symptoms can last for days, weeks, or longer. The signs of concussion can be subtle. People may look fine even though they’re acting or feeling differently. Sometimes the injury makes it hard for people to recognize or admit that they are having problems.
When I see people  with a brain injury. I don’t see them any different than anyone else in that sense. I know they may forget stuff or get confused but so do I and I don’t have a brain injury. They are brighter and swifter than those of us who have never had one. I do however know what its like to have some limitations in life and to be treated differently by people. If you or your family member experienced a head injury. It is essential to seek help from a medical professional. You can also contact a brain injury lawyer who knows  about it and they will help you resolve the problem.

On Eyes Health: Sleeping With Contact Lenses On

According to a study “sleeping in lenses that are not designed for extended wear is asking for trouble” For the reason that  our corneas don’t get enough oxygen, and there is a high risk of infection from bacteria, which can lead to short-and long-term problems. Take care and love the window of our soul :)

Goodnight everyone!

CD Investment

Last night my hubby and I talked about our future together when we get old.  He asked me what is the best investment that we can have when we both can’t work anymore. Well, I am not surprise and can’t blame him if he thinks that way. Since the economy goes bad, my hubby always get nervous for our future. Anyway, I suggested him on getting an investment through  a Certificate of Deposit, well known as CD like what Daddy did to his excess money. So, we asked advice from him. He told us a lot of information’s on how to get a CD account.  He is knowledgeable about it because he has many since he retired. He makes a living  from it  aside from his apartment rentals.  He also said  that CD’s are good investments for the elderly like him. Who "desire only to maintain their capital for the remainder of their life. It is also one of the safest investments you can make. He remind us also that  before investing to one, we have to research for the best cd rates first.

Tip Talk Monday: Clutter Controlled 1 - How To Make Your Laundry Room More Functional

Get a jump on the new year by cleaning up those hard-to-handle spaces in your laundry room, bathroom, office and garage.  I will share   4  series of strategies on each spaces that I mentioned every Monday  in  my tip talk Monday of course.
MAKE THE PREWORKS EASY - Ask your husband and kids to sort their clothes. Put three separate labeled baskets or bins in the laundry room: one for whites, one for colors, one for dry cleaning.
SHARE THE LOAD - Have each person put away his or her own clothes. Stack each family members clean, folded laundry in a separate basket-it will save you from running up and down the stairs all day long. (If you have one :D)
DON’T FORGET THE EXTRAS - Keep trash and recycling cans in the laundry room for dryer lint and empty detergent bottles. You should also start a finders-keepers box where you put coins, dollar bills and receipts you find in pockets. If your hubby or kids haven’t claimed their money after two weeks, put it into your own treat fund. (A pizza treat perhaps?) This will help them remember to check their clothes more carefully the next time around
…continued on Monday…

Have A Nice Monday!

Your credit can become destroyed, you can lose the equity in your home, and you may be forced into bankruptcy if your mortgage payments are not affordable. Furthermore, despite your best efforts, home values can fall.

However, if you borrow responsibly, and follow simple advice, there are many mortgage problems you can prevent  by contacting American Residential Law Group. They will  assist you in saving your home from foreclosure. And  they are knowledgeable in full range of consumer legal services, including loan workout, bankruptcy, real estate litigation, default resolution, residential & commercial closings.

Why it's important to get a Food Poisoning Attorney?

When you  eat  in  a restaurant or buy food in a supermarket for your family. You assume you are getting something that isn’t going to harm you.  You certainly never expect to eat or purchase something that puts your health and life in danger. In a case like this you will need an attorney who understands food poisoning cases.

If you have been injured by food poisoning, your injuries will very likely get worse over time without proper care and attention.  And  proper care and attention can be very expensive.   Food Poisoning Attorney can help you get the compensation necessary to treat your injuries and receive the damages to which you are entitled after being made ill by preventable food poisoning.

Heart Benefits Of A Hearty Laugh

Laughter is contagious. But don’t worry about spreading it around. Growing research suggests that regularly getting your giggles going offers several health benefits beyond the emotional ones. Specially, laughing appears to:

INCREASE BLOOD FLOW - Researchers measured the blood-moving capacity of arteries in a one year of heart attack patients. Those who watched comedies for 30 minutes a day were “less likely” to suffer a second heart attack than those who did not watch funny videos.

LOWER BLOOD SUGAR - People with type 2 diabetes maintain better blood sugar-control after watching comic performances. A study of 10 people with the condition suggests that might stem from beneficial changes in immune regulation that prevent damaging inflammation from undermining blood-sugar control.

REGULATE THE IMMUNE SYSTEM - Laughter significantly reduced levels of inflammation trigging cytokines in people with rheumatoid arthritis, people with asthma become more resistant to flare-ups, those with allergies suffer fewer symptoms, and children with allergic skin rashes sleep more easily. A good laugh might also stimulate production of disease-fighting T cells and natural killer cells.

BURN CALORIES - Laughing boosts energy expenditure by 10 to 20 percent and 15 minutes of hearty laughter could burn up to 40 calories, enough to shed more than 4 pounds if done daily.

EASE PAIN - Laughter contracts and relaxes muscles in the abdomen, face and shoulders, which might ease muscles tension and spasms that contribute to pain. And the temporary distraction helps too.

Recommendation: While 4-year olds laugh about every 4 minutes, adult do it about once an hour. So spend time each day having fun. Trade jokes, watch comedies, horse around with your kids or grandkids, or share a laugh while in line at the grocery store. It will brighten your day-and maybe provide a much appreciated dose of mirthful medicine.

Goodnight everyone! cheers!

I Am So Upset Tonight!

Earlier I received the work boots that I ordered for my hubby at onlineshoes.com and they shipped me a wronged size. I ordered size 10 US but they shipped me size 10 UK and it is equivalent to 11 US.  I call them to exchange it. Then the woman that I talked with gave me  2 options. 1st she said I need to re-order it and pay again in full if I wanted a pair of boots fast. 2nd I need to send the boots first then when they receive it that’s the time they process it and  shipped me back a new one. But take note I need to wait “3 weeks” for the right pair of boots.

So, what I did I just decided to return it. When I ordered it, it’s says in their website that the shipping, exchanging, returning it is totally a 100% free. But I was surprised when the woman told me that they will going to deduct $6.99 for the shipping fee because I didn't keep the product!  What a shame! why I need to pay for their mistake? Just because they make a mistake by sending me the wronged size then I need to pay it? It's so ridiculous isn't it?

I am so disappointed because I want to surprise my hubby and I am hoping that he can use it tomorrow. And I know also that  he really needs a new one now. I feel so tired because of this. I guess I need  to relax  now. :D Have a good one now everyone. See you all later. Ciao!

Fuel Management Software

Guest Post By: Gale F.

Any company which owns and utilizes multiple vehicles in its daily functions has learned that managing fuel consumption is a vital part of continued operation. Fuel costs may rise above $3 per gallon; this can have a severe impact on the bottom line of any company. Fuel inefficiency, theft, inaccurate record keeping, and the inability to correctly back-charge a customer for fuel expense can also devastate the profit margin.
The ability to keep accurate documentation on a per vehicle, per customer, or per job basis can provide the information needed to reduce or correctly allocate fuel expenses. There are many developers who create software that can assist with a proper fuel management system. Most of these systems are very simple and user friendly, yet powerful. If a fleet of trucks is on the road, their systems can be accessed from any Internet connection, allowing a constant flow of accurate data. Most systems can be fully customized to meet your specific requirements.

Fuel retailers also need to correctly determine proper information to stay competitive in this high cost and low margin market. They need to monitor inventory and environmental compliance. Demand forecasting and the ability to meet the current demand are an absolute must in this market. Financial management that tracks delivery receipts, reconciles invoices, and tracks pricing can also be invaluable. Overall,  fuel management software can make or break a fuel-dependent business venture.

Love Pets But Hates Fleas

Many of us love pets we even kept them in our house. Especially dogs and cats.  They become our  constant companion and friend, they are extremely loyal and  also a valuable source of entertainment, for one another. They’re something that will love you basically to the point where it doesn’t matter what you do. You have something to come home to everyday that will be excited to see you and those are just a couple.

But having one is so much as considerations to bear in mind when you bring a fluffy friend into your life. They are a big  responsibility. You have to feed them every day, play with them, make sure they are kept clean and keep from fleas. Fleas are a nightmare, they also are best known for spreading the Bubonic Plague. One common fleas is a feline fleas. It is also a common cat problems and a cause of most cat skin disorders. The parasites can cause disease such as anemia. Just always remember the rules to good flea control – treat your home, your yard, and your pet, and do it regularly! And don’t skimp on the price and settle for a lesser product because it will just cost you much more in the long run. I think that if we are all diligent, despite our busy schedules, we can get through this.

My Tip Talk Monday: Soundtrack Of Your Life

When you watch television, films and special events, it’s music that sets the scene. The soundtrack helps create the emotions, pace  and rhythm of each moment. It’s what makes you excited during a car chase and uplifted during a romantic moment. Why should your life be any different?
Studies show that music affects behavior. The music you listen to can make you work faster or slower, and feel more or less relaxed. By adding daily activities, you can invent the right soundtrack for your life. From cooking and cleaning to eating and exercising, selecting music that complements your experiences creates a better rhythm for your day.

CLEANING UP - Doing chores around the house can be a lot more enjoyable and get finished much more quickly when it’s done to the sounds of a favorite high-energy song. Try choosing upbeat melodies as the background for chores. You’ll establish a quicker pace to get work done.

MIND AND BODY - Working out is not just about the body, but about the brain as well. Playing the right music is important for both. For some aerobic workouts the right music might be fast and exciting, while for a yoga session it may be classical and calming. Choose the right soundtrack for your heart and head.

AT WORK - The rhythm of your work life varies throughout the day. Sometimes you need to get things done quickly, and other times you need to slow down and focus. In general, new music keeps your brain active and your energy up. When you need to concentrate, try familiar songs that aren’t too complex and have a few or no lyrics.

DINNER AND DANCING - Every dinner party has a rhythm and your music should understand underscore it. Will your music be loud and fast, or soft and mellow? Or will it be both? Perhaps some classical music during dinner, followed by jazz music for dancing. You’re in charge of the sounds that create the mood. The rhythm of your day is as unique as your DNA. Shouldn’t your music be too? Your life has a soundtrack. Start using it to your advantage - and enjoy it!

“Turn on your music every room in your home
and every time of day has a purpose”

Goodnight!

Sometimes It Pays To Stay In Bed In Monday :D

Monday is always a busy day for me. But because of my foot that still bothers me when I am standing so long. I can’t do much today. But I still did some household chores. And this afternoon my daughter and I just stayed in her bedroom relaxing. She doesn’t have school today because of the holiday. Today I also start reading the book by anne a lay apostle that my friend gave me while listening to music.  I enjoy reading the book. I think the messages are beautiful and simple enough to understand them.

Looking for a free web hosting provider for your website?

Are you starting a business? Or perhaps, just wants a place where you could share just about anything you want? Well, if you’re planning to have your own website or blog, you definitely need to find a web host first. If you don’t have a web host to host your site, then you won’t get your website or blog available online. It’s as simple as that.
But the problem is, with so many web hosting companies and offers scattered all over the net, it’s just hard to choose the right one for you. If you plan to make something like a personal site, then I recommend you to go with a free web hosting. But even so, it’s still difficult to know which one is reliable enough to keep your site up and running online.

They offer free hosting with 100MB disk space and guarantee 99.9% uptime for your site. With their free hosting plan, they can provide you with an ad free site and a cPanel control panel. Have A Fun Weekend Everyone!

It’s Friday once again. I don’t want to get you all bored in reading my post so I make it simple. Just a quick tip again for all of you  for the weekend.

My 1st tip - On health and hot tea - Hot tea is a soothing drink on a cold day or when down with cold or flu. The plant chemicals (flavonoids) in green and black tea provide health-promoting anti-oxidants as well.

My 2nd tip - On Kids - Kids love crunch. Serve crunchy apples slices with a yogurt or caramel dip for a tasty, nutritious and quick treat.  Have fun!!!

This is one of  the images that JOanna (one of my blogger buddies from Greece)  sent to my daughter. Thank you  JOanna for being so nice to my daughter.  Keep in touch and Enjoy your weekend :)

Ouch!

Last Tuesday I fell from our stairs. From top stairs until the bottom. I saw different kinds of star. Oh! when that happened, I can't stand the pain.  I almost peed and I am laid there for more than 20 minutes :D

At first I just ignored it. But yesterday night it bother's me so much. I didn't slept good because of the pain.  When I woke up in the morning it's swollen and I can't barely walk. Today, I had to wear a brace to help me walk better and to support my foot.

Sigh! ever since I don't like a big house and with so much stairs. But now I don't have a choice, I have to like it. Imagine almost every week I had to climb "48 stairs" from the basement when I does laundry and up to the attic which is in 3rd floor where our computer room is located. I bet, you too will not  gonna like to have a house with many stairs hehehe!

A Prayer For Haiti People

I seen on the evening news earlier what had happened to Haiti people. It’s  so sad  many lives were lost due to a destructive earthquake. Let’s all say a prayer for them. Let’s all ask Lord to grant eternal peace to those who lost their lives. Embrace the children who died in their innocence. Help those who are hurt. Encourage those who suffer the destruction of their homes and properties, and to once again stand up and rebuild their future. Bless all those who extend their helping hands to those in need of food, shelter and clothing, who share their time, talents and resources with others.
May God bless us all!

Are You Planning To Move Anytime Soon?

Moving  is very tough and stressful to experience of one person or a  family .  More expenses, many papers works and  packing stuffs to do. First of all you need to do more research about the place.  You should gather more information’s  with regards of water supply, electricity, phone line etc.   If you choose to move in an apartments  there are a lot of things that you need to check out including amenities, maintenance, renter’s insurance and the neighborhood. Don’t settle for an  apartments you and your family don’t like. It’s hard to get out of a lease once you’re in it.
My experienced living in an apartments was not bad at all. But a big problem with apartments is the lack of privacy, with so many apartments from many sides with some apartments being only separated by a common wall. So the sounds carry easily to your adjoining apartment neighbors even when doors and windows are properly shut. Another thing sometimes smells from other apartments come into yours through the ventilation or heating systems. These are only some of the problems that you might encounter in your moving.

So, if you dream to have a stressful and hassle free moving then visit  Move.com. They make it easy for you to find your dream home and neighborhood across United States.  Wither you’re looking a house to buy, or apartments  and properties for rent.

Yoyo Shop - One Of A Kind Yoyo’s

Yoyos are one of my daughter's favorite things! She really wanted one since she does not have one yet. So, she suggested that I  look up sites where I can purchase yoyo’s. I found a plenty of them, but  they 're not her type.  When my sister in law found out that my daughter wanted a yoyo  she recommended  yo yos.

As we were checking the site we found some different  kind of  yoyo selections from beginner yoyos to pro yoyos that come from different best companies/brands in the world. Friday Quick Tip

Well, everyone since it's weekend. I want to make it simple. I will just share a quick tip to remember this weekend. If you had a New Year's resolution, stay focused on it. But this weekend enjoy a yogurt for breakfast; snack on fruit and raw veggies instead of cookies and salty snacks; and add one more veggie to your plate of dinner.

I'm Dying To Learn How To Play Piano

My siblings and I had a very rough childhood. We came from a very simple and a big family of 8 children.  Back then we’re not like the ordinary kids that just can play anytime they want to. We started working at a young age of 13 to help our parents. Whenever we want or like something, we need to work harder just to have it. My parents will only can spend to the things that we need not the things that we like. Back then I do really love to learn how to  play piano and wanted to get a  piano lesson. But  because of a financial problem , I didn’t able to do it.

So, I said to myself if my daughter wanted to do it in the future, I will be supportive to her. My daughter really enjoy music and dancing. She also wanted to learn different kinds of instruments including piano. My hubby and I told her that if she’s doing good to her class this year. We will let her get a piano lesson. :)

    The Economy and Insurance

In this challenging economy most of us can’t afford to buy any  insurance. Because of the  high rocket charges that you need to pay every month.  Many people tighten their belts so they just don’t bother to get one. But  some people don’t have a choice like us. It is a mandate  here that everyone have health insurance coverage.

It is tough though for my hubby because we’re 3 in the family. He pays less than a thousand dollars for the 3 of us every month. This coming March or April we’re changing our health insurance. Because my hubby is not happy with our insurance company anymore since they charged too much money but they pay nothing.  I hope we can find a better one soon.

On Personality Development: Two-Second Confidence Booster

Are you ready for this? Researchers have shown that an upright posture affects how others see you as well as how you see yourself. Those who always sit up straight experienced more confidence in their own ideas than those who in more slumped positions while sitting.

The findings add to growing research proving that how you position your body can have a direct effect on your mood. For example,  when you move your facial muscles, even if you're not particularly happy, good feelings begin to flow. Next time you need to present ideas in a gatherings, meetings etc. Sit up straight, chances are you will have more confidence and speak with a surer voice. Are You A Boxing Enthusiast ?

Earlier while my hubby and I on our way to the pizza house to get one for our dinner. I heard about the fight of Floyd "Money" Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao . It's gonna be LIVE! at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Saturday March 13, 2010! Are you thinking of buying a tickets? You can check it out  at  Paquiao fight tickets

Oh! well  I get so excited, if I have a chance I want to see it live. I love to watch boxing. For me boxing is such a classic sport and one that has evolved through the ages.  I remember way back in the Philippines, my siblings and I never miss any fights of Manny Paquiao and sometimes my brother and his friends bet  whose going to win. We all watching till the end win or lose.  In this fight?obcourse I will bet for Manny not because his my fellow countrymen but because he is indeed a good fighter. I know his going to make it again!

    Have a good one!

    Everyone!!!

    Express how you really feel

My hubby and my daughter  are my everything.  They are the reasons I get up in the morning, and the reasons I smile all day long. I am a homemaker; I stay at home taking care of my  father-in-law most of the time  and our household etc. My husband goes to , works  8 to 9 hour days, and usually comes home stressed and upset. But oh, how he loves me. When he comes in the door, he doesn't even take off his uniform before kissing me. He won't say hi to our girl, use the restroom, or do ANYTHING until he has found me, held me, and told me how much he loves  and misses me. There isn't a morning or night that goes by that he doesn't tell me how absolutely gorgeous I am. There isn't one hour that goes by that he doesn't tell me how much he loves me. Sometimes I feel I am still dreaming. I ask myself, how did I find the perfect husband? Well, all I can say is that I found him by  God’s will, and he does it because I appreciate him. Men need to know, above all other things, that what they're doing is not only noticed, but appreciated, valued, and supported. In return  when we’re laying  down at night. I  whisper into his ear how much I value everything he does for me and my daughter. I remind him that my daughter and I we’re here for him no matter what, and that I will love him come hell or high water.

On our coming anniversary, I want to give him a surprise other than a greeting cards.  Because  I have been giving  my husband a greeting cards every special occasions since from the first time we made a commitment to each other and that's been  3 years this coming February 3. I know he loves it, and he doesn’t care me giving him just a greeting cards. But for me on that special day he deserves more than that.  My idea is to give him  watch . I do really want to get him it's a either gucci  or  Casio gshock  to let him know that I treasure the ‘time” being with him every minutes and hours of each day.

Here's some of the watches  I really like for my hubby

I know  sometimes life gets too busy for all of us! It is however very important to let your partner know you love them, even though they know you have to reinforce it always! Remember: Men need to know they are appreciated.

Are You Stretching Enough For Your Health?

A simple flexibility test may help predict your risk of heart disease and stroke. A new study proves that, among men and women over age 40, the ability to touch one’s toes indicates how stiff the arteries are.

Hardening of the arteries can raise blood pressure and is a major cause of heart disease. Earlier research showed that aerobic exercise helps slow the stiffening of arteries that comes with aging. Now we’re learning that flexibility, too, may have a beneficial effect. Don’t forget that the state of your arteries is linked to flexibility.  So, let’s go start your day with stretching.  It’s good for your heart and it will saves your life.

My New Year Tips: Storing Decorations

How's your new year everyone? I bet you all had a great time with your family and friends.  My family and I we're just stayed home. We watched the new years countdown  together in my daughters bedroom. My daughter was so happy because we let her up late for the first time. :) Because her bedtime schedules is 8:00pm on week days and 9:00pm on weekends.

Today is my busiest day after the holidays.  Since the holidays are over, now it's time for me  to start taking off our decorations.  I'm hoping to finish it before Monday. Anyway, "When the holidays are over, take stock of your decorations as you take them down and toss items that were never hung up or have lost their luster"

Here are helpful solutions for storing your stuff
    1. Designate an area for all holidays items - whether it's a high shelf in a closet or a corner of the attic.
    2. Wrap delicate glass and heirloom pieces in tissue paper or bubble wrap to prevent breakage. Stow ornaments in lidded plastic bins or shallow cardboard boxes, making sure containers are all the same size for easy stacking.
    3. Wrap garlands around a large, rectangular piece of heavy-duty cardboard or a gallon-size coffee can so they don't get knotted.
    4. Always store lights indoors since they don't hold up well in extreme temperature. Wind individual sets around a square, notched piece of cardboard to prevent tangling.
    5. Pack artificial trees in polypropylene or vinyl bags (most will fit up to a 10-foot tree) to protect from dust. For easier lifting choose a bag with handles.
    6. Toss out used tinsel. It's in expensive to replace and looks best for just one season.
    7. Package wreaths in custom containers or boxes, available in sizes ranging from 10 to 40 inches; store in the garage or shed.
Reminder: TAG IT! Label lights, garlands, and mistletoe by room so you'll always know which items to hang in the hallway and which go on the mantel.
