Every week my schedule is extremely busy, therefore organization is mandatory in my household. I have two teenage boys and loving husband, so grocery shopping is the highlight of every week. Moreover, I
plan my shopping trip very carefully. I sit down at my kitchen table every Thursday night and create a list for all the items that we need, such as milk, butter, bread, and so forth. After writing down the essentials, I make a list for the ingredients I need for Sunday's dinner, which is the only day of the week that I cook a "big" meal for the family. Next, I take personal requests for particular products, and I only accept one request per person, because I know my boys can eat. After I have completed my shopping list I make sure that I am within my weekly budget. I glance over my clipped coupons for any items on the list. Finally, on Friday morning I grab my purse, the grocery shopping list, all my necessary coupons, set my
first alert alarm system, and I am off to fill our refrigerator with groceries. Even more, I enjoy shopping for groceries alone, because I know how to make my personal strategy work. This is my schedule every week of each month, and I love it.
