On Health Tips: Microwave

It's been a while now since I posted my last tips. I miss writing tips. But what can I do right? Nothing!  I am still so busy working and keeping up our house clean. In fact  I have to wake up at 4:00am tomorrow to go to work..
Anyway, here is my tip for you before the weekend ends. Okay, Do you think cooking in the microwave causes food to lose nutrients, right? WRONG! Microwaved food may retain vitamins, BETTER than stovetop-cooked food. That's because the microwave zaps it quickly and without much water. One study found that spinach retained only 77 percent of the B-vitamin folate when cooked on a stove but retained ALL of it's folate when cooked in a microwave. Source: Consumer Reports On Health

Stay Healthy Everyone! Enjoy The Rest Of The Weekend!
