Brain Injury

Every year, around 44000 Massachusetts residents suffer from  brain injuries caused by accidents. People with brain injuries regardless of their size or location interferes with the ability to control emotions, to benefit from experience, to learn new information, and to be sensitive to the emotional needs of others. It also gets in the way the ability to store, process, accumulate, and retrieve information. Brain injuries are different, so is recovery. Most people with mild injuries recover fully, but it can take time. Some symptoms can last for days, weeks, or longer. The signs of concussion can be subtle. People may look fine even though they’re acting or feeling differently. Sometimes the injury makes it hard for people to recognize or admit that they are having problems.
When I see people  with a brain injury. I don’t see them any different than anyone else in that sense. I know they may forget stuff or get confused but so do I and I don’t have a brain injury. They are brighter and swifter than those of us who have never had one. I do however know what its like to have some limitations in life and to be treated differently by people. If you or your family member experienced a head injury. It is essential to seek help from a medical professional. You can also contact a brain injury lawyer who knows  about it and they will help you resolve the problem.

  3. This is a good post and very informative. Brain injuries should never be taken lightly. If a person has suffered a head injury, it's best to seek immediate medical attention because it could mean the difference between life and death. It isn't always possible for the sufferer to be aware of behavioral changes so, if a friend or family member notices a sudden change in behavior or cognitive ability of a loved one, call a doctor. The worst thing would be dismissing it. Follow the motto "Better safe than sorry."
