My Weekend Tips On Health

I know that it's hard to eat too much fresh fruit for your health, but about two cups a day is a good goal and in my researched it turns out "an apple a day, an orage, kiwi and banana can keep the doctor away". Here the fact why?

APPLES - eat the skin or a high dose of fiber-both soluble (the type that helps lower cholesterol) and insuluble (it keeps you regular). In addition to meeting 15 percent of your daily fiber needs, an apple is crammed with antioxidants.

ORANGES - A single gives you almost a full day's vitamin C, plus potassium. The opaque memberane around each wedge has hesperidin, which may lower cholesterol. Even the scent is calming.
KIWIS - Ounce fro ounce, kiwis contain more than twice as much vitamin C as oranges, plus they may lower the risk of cataracts and could even protect DNA from damage.
BANANAS - high in potassium and low in sodium, bananas, help lower your rish of high blood pressure and stroke. Protease inhibitors that can prevent stomach ulcers. Yups, that's why I learned to love eating banana because of my blood pressure. Please include more fruits in your daily diet...more healtful tips about fruits soon...

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!!
and

EAT MORE FRUITS

We're leaving tonight to Cape Cod because we're going to Sen. Edward M. Well, a lot of celebrities, including Pres. Obama coming here during summer but mostly they go to Martha's Vineyard which is 45 minutes away where we live by boat.

Well, we're going down in our Summer House to do some work and probably we're gonna close the pool to prepare it for the long winter's coming. Summer is gone we can't use it anymore because it's getting colder and colder here everyday. I can feel the Fall season already. I'll see you guys on weekdays. Enjoy your weekend blogging! Fitful Sleep: Should You Worry?

Lately I've been experiencing fitful sleep most of the time I get tired when I'm about to get up at 6:00am to prepare hubby's food for lunch. Then sometimes I go back to bed to catch up but I'm having a hard time in getting a sleep or even taking a nap. I just ignored it until I've read a medical guide saying " Serious sleep problem affects 30 percent of people at some point in their lives, and the rate is higher in older people and those who have medical disorders. Sleep problems contributing to anxiety, depression, weakened immunity, and possibly even heart disease. " Now, I understand why I'm having fitful sleep, my doctor explained to me that I am having a depression which she said it's very normal to experienced it sometimes especially to those people who relocate to another country. she prescribed me a medicine to take awhile until i get better. Here's some question to help you determine if your having fitful sleep.
What To Do: As yourself, and your sleeping partner if you have one, these questions: Do you have falling or staying asleep? Do you have episodes of disturb sleep? Are you tired or sleepy during the day? If the answer is yes to any of this questions, have a detailed discussion with your doctor about your sleeping habits and, if necessary, schedule a visit with a sleep specialist. Have a goodnight sleep tonight everyone! :-)

A Long Day With Doctors Appointment

At 9:30 me and hubby gonna leave for his doctor appointment to take his Cortisone shot to ease the pain of his shoulder. We didn't know yet what's really going on. His doctor told us when we came from the emergency room last week. he said that my hubby might need to get an MRI test so we need to wait when he gonna be schedule for that.
At 2pm my daughter and I have an appointment with our dentist. My daughter for her routine check-up and me my first time to go. I don't have an idea what really gonna cost us this time because we don't have dental insurance that mostly don't bother to get one.. I hope my case is not that bad like my daughter. They've done 1 tooth root canal to her and guess what how much it cost us?, 1,500 dollars not included the doctors fee. Medical fee's here is outrageous. I remembered when I went to the emergency room because of my skyrocket blood pressure, would you believe that we just stay there in 4 hours and our bill reached to 20 thousand dollars. So, that's why my hubby doesn't want to go to ER only when it really needed. Now his kinda worried because if their company insurance will not cover his medical for sure will be the who will pay it all. We can't count on our health insurance because most of the time they don't cover anything and we had experienced a lot of problems with it, so probably my hubby wants to switch in a new insurance real soon.

Well, people in my country think it is really a great country to live in. In my opinion, yes it would be a real nice place to live in and also opportunities here are abundant but you need to work like a dog. You need to have like 3 to 5 jobs and not to get a good sleep. :-) and obcourse the higher salary you get the higher tax you'll pay. In fairness, one reason why this country is great because people here are all hardworking. You know what mean. One thing when you get sick and hospitalized and then if you don't have a health insurance yet oh! for sure medical bills will crippled you especially here. This one of the most expensive state to live in. Well, friends all this are my observations and based of my experienced here. Well, we're not living in a a fantasy world, it is indeed the reality of life here :-) Well, we got to go now. Ciao!

Sunday Is Our Family Bonding Day

Yesterday it was a long day for me and my hubby . We've done a lot of works in Detcheese room (it was named after my hubby's grandmother because her dog used to stay in it back then). Now we made it as a storage. We spent half of the day cleaning and organizing stuffs but we didn't got to finish it because we need to leave at 3pm for my eye doctor appointment. Well, the result is not a good news for me because my vision changes and I needed a new pair of eye glasses which is the stronger one. Then, before we went to bed last night, me and hubby cooked a bunch of popcorn for the ducks that we fed today. We went to Wellesley Park. I really love this place, it's peaceful, there's a small area of woods, and an area where families can do picnic.
I took this photo of Wellesley Library because I love the achitectural structures, it looks like a castle.
These is the original town bell of Wellesley, placed infront of the Wellesley Library to commemorate Wellesley's Centennial April 6, 1981

You can only see these ducks and geese on the start of spring until summer and when the fall comes the city takes them and put in a facility for them to be safe for the long winter.
I have fun taking this photo's, the duck dipped upside down to get someting to eat or was only drinking

We're tired after we came from the woods

All the ducks and geese followed us to the woods because they still see the popcorns :-)

My daughter really enjoyed feeding them. She said she wants to go back again because she loves animals so much, she just wants to be a vet. and etc... :-)
Have a wonderful blogging to all the bloggers!

How To Avoid Jet Lag

I can't believe it's already weekend again. Well, time flies when you're having fun. Anyway, probably some of you are planning for a weekend getaway or a last minute vacation with your family before the school year begins. Here's a weekend travel tips that I would love to share again to those who loves to go away.
If you are flying off on a vacation to a place in a different time zone, prepare for your journey three days in advance.
FIRST DAY: eat a high-protien breakfast and lunch. such as bacon, eggs, sausages, or steak, and a high-carbohydrate dinner, such as pasta, potatoes, or rice.

SECOND DAY: eat only very light meals.

THIRD DAY: eat whatever you want.

DEPARTURE DAY: as soon as you get on the plane, akjust your watch to the time at your destination. Then make sure you eat meals at your normal times according to your watch. Drink plenty of water during your flight.

Stay awake during your flight it it is daytime at your destination. Sleep on the plane if it is nightime at your destination. Use earplugs, headphones, and an eye mask to block out noise and light.

If you arrive at your destination during the day, don't go to sleep. Take a shower, then go out and do something. In the evening, eat a meal and go to bed at your normal time. Bon Vayage! Have a wonderful weekend to all!

Home Key Need To Be In Your Pocket At All Times

What an awful thing happened to me this morning. I was cleaning the mirror of our back door when I accidentally locked it. Guess what? I don't have my house key with me and even my mobile phone because when I knew that I am just staying home I never put it in my pocket only when I go far like going to the store. My hubby already warned me before to always bring the home key with me. Lately, I wasn't thinking of it since my daughter had her school break. She's always stayed inside and usually when I'm doing things outside she's still sleeping. This morning when this was happened, I was knocking the door as hard as I can. I almost wreck our door for 2 hours thinking that she'll get awake but unfortunately she didn't. Bad timing I really need to go to the bathroom, you know call of nature! So, I don't have a choice just to wait for her to wake up at 11am or just wait for my father in law to come home. Good thing he came home early today because usually he comes home in the afternoon like 1pm or 4pm. God still with me because before it was happened I was done cooking if not oh gosh I don't know what will happen...

I don't know if you can call it a stupidity or whatsoever but for me it's a lesson learned. Probably you will learn from this too. See ya!

10 Travel Tricks to Save You Time and Money

Looking to spend less on airfare or skip a long check-in line? Here are some of the best tricks I want to share that I've learned from Smart Traveler.

Trip Planning
1. Book backward for the best prices. When it comes to finding a great rate, flexibility can make all the difference. Search for deals from your home , airport and choose your destination that way. Try websites like bing.com-Microsoft's newly launched search engine-which lets you look for reduced airfares ans saves your finds for seven days.

Flying
2. Pay less for an upgrade with a Y-up economy-class fare. You'll spend about thesame as you would for a full-fare coach ticket, but be automatically upgraded to first class upon check-in. Caveat: Y-ups fares are not available on all flights (never for international travel) and can be highly restricted, making changes expensive or impossible. Book through a tavel agent or use Y-up tool.
3. Time your flights to avoid crowded airports. Travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Saturdays for les congestion at the counter and at security, which means smoother sailing to your gate. On other days early morning flights are your best bet.
4. Avoid long lines at economy-class check in. Always request an upgrade when booking a coach ticket. At the airport check in at teh business-class counter to "see if the upgrade went through" Even if it didn't, you can still check in there and avoid the long economy-class lines.

Hotels
5. Combine online research with direct bookings. Finds the best hotel rates on sites then calls the property to ask if they'll meet or beat that price. You can always gets the reduced Internet rate, as well as the personalized service that comes with booking directly.

6. Don't Pay extra for Web access. Always check if your hotel offers free Wi-Fi in its lobby and public spaces. Find a full list of the Wi-Fi hot spots in your destination.

Money
7. Avoid ATM fees overseas. Many banks charge a flat fee for international ATM use, plus currency exchange fee. Ask if your bank has free overseas cash-machine locations or no-fee partners.

Getting Around
8. Know the taxi fare to your hotel. Call your hotel or the concierge prior to your arrival to determine the average one-way reate from the airport.
9. Sometimes hiring a car and driver is cheaper than getting a rental especially in developing countries.
10. Sleep on the train. If you're travelling long distance between major cities consider an overnight sleeper car. You'll save on airfare and hotel costs, and when you wake up, you'll be arriving at your destination. Have a wonderful flight! :-)

Just got back from hospital

We spent the day of my birthday in the emergency room. Finally my hubby decided to go in because his pain getting so bad he couldn't sleep at night anymore, it affects how he drive and especially his job. I just waited for him at the waiting area for 5 hours, while he undergo different kinds of test. I was so nervous but I just kept on praying that everything will be alright because he told me that if his problem in his arm same with my father in law he might get a surgery. Thanks God after more than 5 hours of waiting, the results are not that bad news at all. The findings was he had a "BURSITIS" it is a swelling and inflammation (soreness) of a fluid-filled sac (bursa) that overlies and protect a joint. It can be caused by injury, overuse of the joint, arthritis, or infection. The joint most likely to be affected are the elbows, shoulders, hips and knees. The doctor prescribed him a pills for the temporary relief the pain and swelling but he needs a shots for a longer pain relief so tomorrow I will call a specialist to make an appointment ASAP. Well, even if we celebrate my birthday the way we didn't plan but I still happy and I can say that it's still a great gift to me.
Anyway, thank you so much with all my heart to all my friends who greet me. Mareng Liza (Japan) thank you so much mare for the greetings and visiting my site. I hope we can talk online sometime. Mareng Venus (Philippines) thanks mare for your comments and visiting my site. I already did visit yours but I can't still see your link , Mareng Lorie, Ness and Darling (Vicy & Jeff) thank you so much for the nice card that you sent me, love you both. Well, I need to have a rest now kinda tired, i had a long day today. See you all later.

A Weekend To Remember

My 2nd time celebrating birthday here in the US but i feel like it was just yesterday. I turned forty but I am proud of it. I don't have any regrets reaching this age. All my ups and downs, the pains and tears of my past makes me stronger, wiser and most of all I love myself more now and life is to short to be unhappy.

My birthday cake pie mommy made for me. It's my favorite Banana Cream Pie. She can cook different variaties of food. Like German, Polish, Asian, you name it and she'll cook it for you.

Blowing the candles with mommy's friends Carol and Dick. Carol is mommy's bestfriend and Dick is Daddy D's bestfriend. Mommy told me that they we're friends when Carol was like only my daughter's age (9 years) isn't it an amazing friendship they have?

with mommy-she very loving mother in law and a grandmother to my daughter. she loves me and my daughter like her own. I still remember the first time she saw me. she was crying because she was so happy that finally we're here now for good.

my daughter and daddy D (step dad of my hubby)

mommy's bithday gift for me

I had a wondeful birthday, it was also the first time we spent a day with my mother in law since we came here so she was so happy yesterday because she always miss my daughter. We do visit them once in awhile but we didn't stay longer.

Sunday will gonna go to mommy's house (my mother in law) for lunch and celebrate my birthday there. But before I go crazy I want to share a healthy reminder to all of you again. Probably some of you will having a family cook outs so it's pretty on time for me to share this.
It's all about "Spoiled Chicken" according to a June 12, 2009 report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention most food poisoning stems from contaminated chicken. Many cases could be prevented, the report noted , if people cooked chicken to the recommended internal temperature of 165 Degrees Fahrenheit. So use a meat thermometer when cooking poultry. Enjoy your meal with your family and friends everyone. See ya!

A Surprise Dinner

Yesterday, my sister in law Donna called and said that she'll pick us up and go over her house so my daughter Shaneika and my niece Brittany can swim together then me and her can continue working on my wedding album. I couldn't believe that it's almost a year now since we started doing it. Well, we just do it when she's not busy and she's home because most of the time they going on a cruise and travelling. I can't continue it by myself because I don't have all the gadgets to do scrap booking. Times really fly's so fast just like us being here we're already 1 1/2 years since we came but anyway back in my sister in law surprise. I didn't know that she was gonna surprise us of a belated celebration for our 1st wedding anniversary and also an advance celebration for my birthday. She said she advance my birthday celebration because she's going on a week vacation to her sister in law in New York City on the day of my birthday. Here's some photo's of her surprise dinner for us.

Marriage is a commitment that shows itself through loving kindness and actions that support the marriage and the partner.

My two loving sister in laws: My sister in law Donna. she's the eldest in the family next to her is my hubby. She's the first one I get close with in my hubby's family because we talked over the phone when I was still in the Philippines. She's my adviser and a good confidant. My sister in law Elise. She's the 3rd siblings in their family and mother of my niece Brittany. I don't see and talk to her much because of her busy schedules but I never forget the times when my daughter needs a monthly check up to Boston Medical Center due to TB Virus. Sis Elise was the one whose always with us and drove us once every month for 9 months and then sometimes she needs to sacrifice her work so she can accompany us. She doesn't want us to go there just us for some reasons and beside she's the only one who knows downtown Boston very well. Both my sister in laws are supportive and always there to guide me in everything and they both loved my daughter so very much. I love my new family so much. They're all accept me and my daughter with open arms.

My brother in law Big Mike. His the hubby of Sis Donna. Him and my daughter Shaneika get along well together. She loves her Uncle Michael so much.

My father in law. Everyday he teases me that I am the rain maker because since we came here the weather here is like in my country except winter obcourse we don't get snow in the Philippines. My hubby told me that if he doesn't like you. Daddy will just keep quite and he'll not talk or tease you. He said of all the wives that he had I'm the only one that Daddy likes (my hubby was divorced twice). I was flattered when I heard it from my hubby.

A stolen shot of my niece Brittany while serving an ice cream.

My birthday gift from Sis Don. I cried when I read the poem "An Angel Touch" one of her gifts to me. She is so thoughtful, we're almost the same never forgets important dates and occasions. I feel so blessed to have them all as my new family. I feel so happy and glad to be in the place that I am now.

My 9 year old daughter's Story ( Part 2 )

Story#1

CHEER SQUAD

& the

CHEER LEADING CAMP

Chapter 6

A WEEK LATER. We worked hard on doing the pyramid at the last time ,the teachers decided to work on the real routines. So we tried to do the pyramid at first and it was trouble with a capital T on our hands. So The Cheer Squad already made the rules and stuff. From now on we call each other Rachie for Rachel, Tay for Taylor, Savvy for Savannah, Ash for Ashley, Liz for Lizzie, Lexy for Alexandria, Chlo for Chloe, Anna for Hannah, Pam for Pamela and Kells for Kelly. "Hey gal pals! So what ya doing?" Savannah asked "Oh nothing just chilling "Alexandria said swinging "Where's the others anyway?" Savannah asked "Getting ice cream....And here they come" Alexandria said "I'm so tierd right now! and to bonus it it's hot out today! It's probably 88 degrees out here!!!!" Chloe said "Welcome to HOT California!" Lizzie said "By the way we haven't got to where we live part yet" Pamela said "Who wants to start?" Chloe asked "I will! I used to live Seattle. But my parents died of a car crash when they were gonna pick me up at the day care center. So now I live in Rodeo drive in Beverly Hills" Kelly said "Whoa! hold up there a minute girlfriend Beverly Hills and famous stars! Who are you anyway" Ashley said. Every one was surprised she new the words she should say. More than animal facts "I'm Kelly Carter?"i said "Whoa! you are. Have you ever met superstars?" Ashely replied shocked on what she'd heard "As a matter of fact I did. Uncle Richard is a part of Disney but he never tells what he does for Disney. And my Aunt Elissa she's the maker of The Carter Company for kids and adults. Mostly the one for kids is named Destiny Kids Company but everybody knows it's a carter company" Kelly said "Did you see Disney stars?" Savannah said "Can we discuss this tonight for the slumber party again?" Pamela took cover for Kelly "Sure.Okay who wants to go next?" Alexandria said "I will! I used to live in Rhode Island and here in California" Chloe said "Hey did we discuss this last week?" Hannah remembered suddenly "oh yeah! on the slumber party. Oh well" Taylor said "Girls please join us!!!" Carmela shouted. So The Cheer Squad followed the group.

Chapter 7

ON THE NEXT DAY. We were in the gym again "Okay I have a important thing to say! since we are already in the practice of real routines. We are gonna compete with the 5Th graders!" Carmela let out a big secret that supposed to be for tomorrow "I can't hold it anymore so let's get going and do our routines!!" "Yeah!" everybody yelled "I'm a bit nervous on the whole competition thing" Chloe said to Taylor "Okay girls on your spots now. 1234". The Cheer Squad was exosted. They got back to the cabins to rest! "Ugh I'm so tierd and I can't even walk. This week is harder than last week "Hannah said " You think " Kelly said " So what are we doing now?" Pamela asked "What about some delish Ice cream?" Taylor suggested "Sure,I'll go with you" Lizzie said "You know everything right Taylor,Lizzie" Ashley said "Duh!" both of them said and walked away to the kitchen. "What should we talk about?" Rachel said in a bored voice when Taylor and Lizzie left. The Cheer Squad liked ice cream and talked the whole entire time.

Chapter 8

EVERYTHING WAS NERVE WRACKING ON THE NEXT DAY. We only have 2 weeks to practice and memorize our routines which would take all our energy. We already did both of them for 8 times already then we have to do it 8 times more and then have a nice free time for the day maybe a movie or something it's a surprise so we don't know! maybe today we'll have time to swim because it is so hot. "Should we have a water break today and a food break too?" Nancy asked Nancy is a girl from the class of Vanessa. Then a girl agreed with Nancy named Bessie from the class of Patricia. "Yes we do Nancy" answered Vanessa "We have to start of with the pyramid first because the first time we did it it failed on us." Patricia said "Now get in your positions and let's see what happens". So we went straight to it. Next we tried the falling on your partner, mostly we exercise firstly after the pyramid which by the way went great! and then after that we did the first whole routine and tried to memorize it. Then lunch time arrived we stopped working "Hamburger please. oh and a sprite" Taylor told the cafeteria lady "Hamburger and coca cola please" Kelly said following Taylor to the table "The same to please" Pamela said after Kelly ordered "Okay this feels like has been a long day" Pamela told Taylor and Kelly "True" Savannah said joining us " Where's Lizzie, Rachel,Ashley,Chloe and Hannah?"Alexandria asked sitting down "Popular Section" Pamela said looking over "What?!" Kelly said looking too "Lexy can you go check please?" Savannah asked "Sure" Alexandria replied and walked over.

Chapter 9

THE CHEER SQUAD HAD THEIR FIRST FIGHT. Kelly, Pamela, Savannah, Alexandria and Taylor was in a team and the others were too. All of them wasn't speaking to each other except the one in their groups."I can't believe them being so mean. I'm just was so worried they'd not like us anymore and you know!" Kelly said to everybody in her group "Us too" All of the others told Kelly "Girls we have to go to the gym now" Carmela said and went straight to it with us. We practiced and practiced when we were there. Then it became the night time and we all said sorry to each other and we ate ice cream and popcorn also soda for a movie. It's fun being here but we have to go home. Tomorrow is the competition and we're ready for it. Then it came the completion a great one we are so happy we might win! but Alexandria is very sad."Lexy why are you just sitting here by your self."Pamela the sweetest girl in our group "Come on what's the matter?" "I'm afraid that tomorrow is our last day." cried Alexandria "Remember we're gonna see each other, even in the Winter" Pamela said "But you won't see me and that's the matter I'm going to a different school back where I came from. You see I always live here in the summer with my mom and my dad is winter so i can't see you at all!!!"cried Alexandria even more "Then we'll make a way to communicate Lexy! you know that we're always here for you. Even though your far away we want to see you sometime."Pamela said on her temper of Alexandria shouting and half crying "Promise?" Alexandria asked "Promise with all my heart"Pamela said "3RD GRADE TO FOURTH GRADE CHALLENGE YOU'RE NEXT!" The speaker said loudly. So they went and did what they were waiting for.

Chapter 10

THEY WIN! BUT IT LOOKS LIKE THEY HAVE TO LEAVE CAMP. The Cheer Squad was packing up their bags and gave it to Carmela "I'm sure going to miss this place" Rachel said "Don't we all" Lizzie said it a sad voice. They went with Carmela close to the bus an said goodbyes. "Are you guys sure know what time we are gonna talk when Lexy's in Rhode Island?"Kelly said "Yes!" they all said "Bye Carmela" they all said hugging her "I'm gonna miss you guys"Carmela replied. We all smiled. We hopped on the bus. We said goodbye to the friend that is dropped off. One Cheer Squad Member is far away. But we'll miss every one and we'll still see each other but not Alexandria really but we'll talk to her at the computer. The last one dropped off was the real best friends that started it all Kelly and Pamela "You know what Pam?"Kelly said "What?" Pamela asked "This has been the greatest summer of all!" Kelly said back "I agree!" Pamela said and they laughed all the way to Kelly's house.

THE END!!!!! (Hoped you enjoyed it)

2009 18th Annual Masphee Night at The Pops!

Let me tell you a bit about the history of Masphee Night at the Pops! It was born in 1987, sponsored and presented by the Masphee Common Management Team. In 1992, The Masphee Arts Concil and the Masphee Chamber of Commerce joined forces to present the concert, and soon evolved into the present-day Mashpee Community Concert Committee (MCCC). Soon afterwards, local businessman bequeathed $300,000 to benefit MCCC, Inc. and Mashpee Night at the Pops to ensure the continuation of this free concert for the community.

The US National Anthem

Huge Crowd this time than last year! I see people came from other states like Florida, New York, and other nearby states just to see this marvelous events obcourse the majority of the crowds are oldies as you know Cape Cod is well- known as a summer vacation place and also a best retirement place to be.

with my hunnie while waiting for the concert to start. It's our 2nd year attending this event.

End of the Concert and getting ready for the 30 minutes fireworks display while the orchestra still playing. The Symphony and fireworks performances are two major highlights of the concert.

It's time for fireworks display after a 2 hours concert. It was a big fire works display. The whole events was awsome this year. I can't wait for their 20th Year Annual Masphee Night at the Pops for sure it is a big events.

When you have plan to visit Cape Cod for your summer vacation. Don't miss this event for sure you will also enjoy plus before the concert you can go shopping first in Mashpee Commons. :-)

How To Save The Planet

Hey guys it's Shaneika .Here are some really simple but effective things you and you're children can do to help save the planet from the destruction caused by pollution, greenhouse gas and global warming.
  • Make sure all the lights in your house have energy-saving bulbs. Always turn of any lights that aren't needed.
  • Turn off or unplug your game console, TV, DVD player, and stereo completely when you are not using them. If the red standby light is on, the appliance is still using electricity.

  • Make sure your family recycles everything possible. Newspapers, glass, cans, old clothing, cardboard, plastic, containers, and paper should all be recycled
  • Don't throwaway toys, books, or Cd's that you don't want anymore. Donate them to a local charity.
  • Reuse things whenever possible. For example, take along old plastic bags or canvas tote the next time you go to the super market. Tea lights in old jars make magical lights for the garden when you are hosting a barbecue.

  • Save water. Turn off the faucet while brushing you're teeth. Fill a glass with water to rinse you're mouth. Don't run the faucet to rinse plates when you do the dishes. Use the basin of clean water instead.Get you're parents to buy water bucket for the backyard so you can collect rainwater. Use this water to water the plants instead of a hose.
  • If you feel cold put on an extra layer of clothing - don't turn up the heat.
    ENJOY BEING GREEN EVERYONE!!

Just got back from Cape Cod

Hello again to all my friends and to those whose spend some time visiting my site. Well, I don't have much to say about my Wedding Anniversary because we didn't get to do my hubby's plans that supposed to be we're going to Downtown Boston and visit The Science Museum etc. but it was wrong timing he sprained his left arm. he couldn't move because of the pain until now. He doesn't want to go to the doctor because he said the doctor will say the same thing "have it rest" he said he couldn't afford to rest like for a months. hummmm my hubby sometimes his hard headed and he even goes to work today but what can I do.
Anyway, we still had fun. Thursday, night my father in law arrived at the Cape and he treat us dinner in Thai Restaurant. Saturday, Uncle Joe's birthday. he does all the cooking for the day . He cooks all Italian dishes, it was all so good and I learned how to cook some Italian dishes. Uncle Joe really a good cook he should have a restaurant business but anyway all in my hubby's family are a good cook but in my own opinion Uncle Joe's way of cooking is great. Sunday on the day of our Wedding Anniversay my father in law treat us again for lunch in Old Country Buffet Restaurant, I like it there the food was great. My daughter Shaneika enjoy it so much because she said they served mostly of her favorite foods. Afterlunch, my friend Jenny picked us up to go boating and at night time we went to 2009 18th Annual Mashpee Night at the Pops. I'm gonna post more about it later. Hope you have a nice time visiting my site. Thank you all.

1st Year Wedding Anniversary

Tonight we're leaving going to our summer house in Cape Cod to celebrate Uncle Joe's 81st Birthday on (August 8th) and our 1st Wedding Anniversary on (August 9th). I always love going down in our summer house because there my daughter and I can go swimming, biking and do crafts everyday. I really like our neighbors there, they're all so nice to us. Infact, I have friends there already but I am more close to one, her name is Jenny. Her and her family is like a family to us and Jenny is also taking care of our Uncle Joe when we're not around.
But in some ways the dis-advange for me staying there longer.... Is that I can't do my blogging, kinda make me sad. Surely I will miss doing it so much. Like this time I will not be around here in about 4 days for the reason that we don't have an internet connection back there, but hey! for sure I will enjoy the 4 days being with my hubby and my daughter and to think that I will spend quality time with my hubby since his always busy from work for the past months good thing he got 2 days off plus the 2 days off of weekends so sounds good for me :)
So, everyone especially to my friends who always find time to visit my blog. I will see you all when I get back. To all the bloggers...Happy blogging everyone! Have good weekends to all

Yes!To Green Gifts

In everyday living I learned a lot of things from reading in my spare time and talking to different kinds of people especially doctors. So, I want to share it with you friends especially when it comes to health because since I was diagnosed of high blood pressure 3 years ago and had experienced anxiety and panic attacked. I've done a lot of research and reading mostly about on health.
Like this one:
"In one study, recovering surgery patients who had plants in their hospital room needed fewer pain killers and reported less post-op anxiety than patients who had no plants. The plants group also had lower heart rates and blood-pressure readings. " I do believe on this that plants helps us in so many ways.

Problems With Editing

I am having trouble with the editing since I started blogging especially arranging the photo's. I i want to re-arrange the photo's all i can do is dragging it where I want to locate it but it took me years to do it. I can't do it in a manner that i can save time to do posting because the cut and paste doesn't work at all. Even the text I can't copy and paste it. I've tried so many things already like high lighting the text or photo's but still it didn't work on me. I don't know why it's happening, I don't know if it is in my computer settings or the setting I had in my blog.
