I learned from my dentist that besides sugary beverages, you can also get cavities from acidic drinks. Like citrus juices, bottled iced tea, and anything carbonated. Citric and phosphoric acids wear away protective minerals on teeth and leave more susceptible to cavities.
2 ways to help stop cavities from those that I mentioned?
- Use straw to partly bypass teeth
- Try this fix sugar-free gum with Xylitol, a sugar substitute that inhibits cavity-causing bacteria.
