Women: To Lose Weight, Eat With Men? Women eat less when they dine with men. About 100 fewer calories-according to a study published in "The Journal of Appetite". It also found that they selected more calorie-heavy food when they ate with other women. But the men's caloric intake was not affected by the gender of their companions.
